You look out over the town. Dawn, you walked up here past the totem poles. Bright sunlight. Your dark glasses block it out. You arrived yesterday. You don't know this town. You like it up here. In the town everything goes so fast. You never got used to that. They move so fast you have to meet them at night . Late, when they're slow.
You are in the hotel room. Laminate floor, brown and cream furniture. You can see into the stone grey and white bathroom. Silence. Your breathing. Nobody knows you in this town. You wait. Silence. You don't move. Darkness.
Nightclub. You are at the bar. Black lacy top, leather jacket, short skirt, black tights, dark lipstick. Hair tied up, black of course. You saw her at the bar. Eye contact. Boyfriend, but doesn't matter. He'll follow.
Later back of the night club. Her hands touch your breasts softly. Your tongue in her mouth hard and hungry. Boyfriend watches.
Morning sunlight on the bloodied hotel room wall. He's face up on the ground. He's gone now. It took him a long time to die. She's moving. She'll go on. Like you. You do up your jacket and leave the room.
